Got earache which is intermittent and severe at times. Can i take amoxicillin 500 mg for temporary relief ? Pls suggest the medicine.
Need to know why...: If you have a bacterial infection, amox may help... But it should only be used if recommended by your doctor. There are many causes for earache-- one could be your recent filling, another would be eustachian tube dysfunction from allergies or a virus. Right ear ache, right side of jaw hurts as well as the right side of my throat. Day 4 of taking amoxil (amoxicillin) still no relief. Pain caused by infection?
Not bacterial: The bacterial infection treated with antibiotics can take some time to resolve down in ths jawbone. Usually it is starting to be controled by amox within3-4 days. May need different antibiotic. It may be a viral infection on side of jaw or throat. There are other diseases that can have similar signs and symptoms. Hi. I was wondering if I can take non-drowsy allergy relief and nighttime cold and flu? I have a stuffy nose but a headache and ear ache also..
Depends: If your non-drowsy allergy relief contains a decongestant, it may keep you awake although it would provide some relief in your nasal congestion. If it contains just an antihistamine, it would not help your cold but would not keep you awake either.
