Diarrhea from other causes, like something you ate, can also cause cramping that can feel the same. Monitor for contractions that happen every 5 to 10 minutes and are starting to take your breath away or your water breaking. Call your doctor if you are not sure. ...Read more

5cm dilated all day i been nausiated, i'm hungry but then i can't eat i'm so thirsty but barely drink? Is this a sign ill be going into labor soon?

Not necessarily: These are not the usual signs of labor. But if you arent drinking you can get dehydrated and cause false contractions. It does sound like you are close since you are dilated to 5 cm. There will be a doctor or nurse on call that can tell you what to do based on how far along you are, your level of pain, and the frequency and duration of your contractions. Is constant pain in lumbar left side normal in 40th week of pregnancy? No signs of active labor. Pain doesn't allow for waking and sitting.

Is constant pain in lumbar left side normal in 40th week of pregnancy? No signs of active labor. Pain doesn't allow for waking and sitting.

Not normal but seen: Constant back pain limiting basic activities of daily living (e.g. Walking or sitting) isn't normal; not even at 40 week of pregnancy. The weight gain, the "basketball" & surge in hormone preparing pelvic bones for delivery may contribute to the problem. Constant severe activity limiting pain should be discussed with ob. C-section is considered as the condition may interfere w/ vaginal delivery. ...Read more
