Signs Of Chemical Pregnancy Ivf
I got pregnant on my 3rd IUI but may turn out to be a chemical pregnancy. Would I be likely to get pregnant on my next IUI? 35 and trying. IVF?
In vitro fertilization is an assisted reproductive technology. Ivf is a procedure used to treat fertility problems and assist with the conception of a child. During ivf mature eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a lab. A few days later, the fertilized egg (embryo) or eggs are implanted into the uterus. Ivf beta hCG numbers 1st 9 days post 5 day transfer 67, 4 days later 78, 2 days later 80 and 2 days later 165. Definite chemical pregnancy or ectopic?
Can't say yet: We can't diagnose your pregnancy over the internet. 67 is an ok first beta, but it should rise by at least 50% every 48 hours. There is a slim chance that this could be a normal pregnancy, but more likely a biochemical pregnancy (hcg levels go up then down, never get high enough to see pregnancy on ultrasound), a miscarriage, or an ectopic. If severe pain/bleeding go to er. Your md will follow you. ...Read more
I had once IUI resulted in chemical pregnancy no reasons for infertility i need advice whether to repeat IUI or move to IVF married 3 years?
Difficult choice: 6 cycles of IUI on injectable medications costs around the same as one cycle of ivf. One takes 6+ months and ivf takes 6 weeks. Here is the "rub". 6 cycles of IUI is not as successful as 1 cycle of ivf. So it is a choice. By doing iui, you "gamble" that it works in 2-3 attempts and save money; but if not, than ultimately it costs more because when IUI does not work, you have to go to ivf. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

See below: If you got pregnant with an IUI it would seem reasonable that you could again. It depends on how many cycles you have done and what the primary causes of your infertility are. If was your first couple tries it makes sense to go the most conservative route and not spend the money on ivf. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Positive pregnancy test after IVF FET is it alright to have intercourse after the 2ww? Will this cause miscarriage or harm the embryo in anyway?
IVF: If you mean 3 weeks after embryo transfer you should've had a positive pregnancy test, serial HCG should be rising appropriately. Transvaginal ultrasound could show a gestational sac(s), but usually isn't done for another week when you can see/measure a fetal pole. Fatigue, occasional pressure and cramping, and mild spotting are all very common. ...Read more
Uterus vs tube: A "chemical" pregnancy in most cases is a pregnancy that implanted in the uterus, but miscarried very early. Before any sign on ultrasound. An ectopic pregnancy, which is more common in ivf pregnanices, is a pregnancy that implants in the tube, and is usually determined based on symptoms, abnormally rising HCG levels and ultrasound. ...Read more
