I am on the mirena, and i just removed my tampon and the coil has come out with it? its that ok or any side effects? do i need to see the doc?

See your doctor

Intrauterine_device
MIrena doesn't really have a coil like the Copper T380 IUD. However, the tampon may have dislodged the IUD. Ultrasound should be able to tell. REmember that you probably aren't birth control protected right now.

A marina I u d and I want to know what are the side effects I'm having chest pain lower back spasms and spotting?

Of the symptoms

Pain
You mention really spotting and possibly though unlikely lower back pain could be related to the merina . Not chest pains. You need to have that evaluated.

No, it is not

Polycystic_ovarian_disease
Severe pelvic pain following insertion of an IUD needs to be evaluated by a Clinician as soon as possible to evaluate for perforation, misplacement, or infection.

I was told today, after a scan, that the tiny tip of one side of my mirena coil, looked like it had pierced my endomitrium. Is this dangerous to me?

Probably not

Uterine
The Mirena IUD itself is placed within the endometrium so it is not unusual to see the tip of it in the endometrium What can be difficult is if the Mirena is embedded in the muscle layer of the uterus, the myometrium. Then the IUD was placed into the uterus too far and may be difficult to remove.

Dr. Zoltan Saary answered:

Had a d&c 4 weeks ago and mirena coil fitted only have left tube and getting cramping every day on left side also foul smelling discharge browny red??

You can be infected!

Red
Your question may have to be rephrased, because Mirena is an intrauterine contraceptive device and should not have anything to do with your left tube. But you probably need a transvaginal sonogram to localize the Mirena better and also checked out for pelvic infection!

Dr. Karen J. Jones answered:

What are the side effects of the IUD?

Depends on type

Intrauterine_device
Paragard IUD lasts 10 years and tends to cause periods to be some heavier and or longer. Some women have more cramps. Mirena IUD has progesterone in it which helps periods be lighter. In fact 20% of women will have no periods. Cramping is an issue for some women. Both can have irregular spotting for some weeks when first placed, can fall out, or perforate the uterus.
