If I take 2 lo loestrin fe pills a day. Will this stop my heavy bleeding? Once it stop do I go back to taking one pill a day?
Bleeding and iron: You should see a gynecologist to find out why you have your heavy bleeding. Iron will replace the iron you are losing in your red blood cells lost in your bleeding. See a gyn to see if you have a hormonal imbalance, or bleeding from fibroids. Iron will have no effect on the cause of your bleeding nor will it stop it. ...Read more

25 years old and on the last four pills of lo loestrin fe. Have had my period for 13 days. When will it stop or how can I stop it?
Not normal, see Dr.: Generally, if you are taking your pills every day, your natural hormones are blocked. The last week of pills has no hormones, which triggers a period. If you started bleeding in the middle of your pills, the dosage may need to be adjusted to be right for your body. Stop your pills, use precautions to avoid pregnancy (foam & condoms), and see your gynecologist. Good luck! ...Read more

Typically it takes about 3 cycles (months) for your periods to normalize. However if you do not want to deal with bleeding and spotting for that long you can discontinue the pill and ask your doctor to try another pill with a higher amount of estrogen in it. Something like ortho tri cyclen (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) may be better for you. Otherwise if you decide to stay on the loloestrin yet continue to bleed go back to your doctor, hopefully she will tell you to stop the pill and give you a pill called Provera to stop the bleeding.
Good luck. ...Read more

I'm about to start on birth control (Lo Loestrin Fe) & am concerned about nausea as a side effect. Would taking Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) when I take the pill help?

Taking with a small amount of food or 3. Substituting a different brand of pills or consider Ring/Depo/IUD ...Read more
