Side Effects Of Seroquel Klonopin
What are the short- long-term effects of taking klonopin, doxepin, wellbutrion, seroquel, (quetiapine) armour thyroid, pravastatin, xanex, alcohol, marijuana?
Quetiapine (brand seroquel) is classified as an atypical antipsychotic medication. It is fda approved to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and as an adjunct with antidepressants in the treatment of major depressive disorder. Serious side effects include tardive dyskinesia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, and metabolic syndrome with weight gain, risk of ...Read more
Caution -sedation: The more medications the greater the concern about drug-drug interactions :how your body "treats" the medicine;how one drug affects the effectiveness of another; &additive side effects. For example, Seroquel,Klonopin & Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can each be sedating & all three together may be too much. Tell your doctor all the medications &supplements you take so you can work together to for relief & safety ...Read more

Tolerating?: Everyone has a different tolerance to medications. Both of the above can be very sedating. For those with a high tolerance sedation is not an issue. Unless you have liver or kidney disease these doses are not excessive. Again ck with your dr about making adjustments if you are too sedated and do not drive or operate dangerous machinery. ...Read more
Are there tests available for people w/ insomnia? I've tried everything, even klonopin & seroquel (quetiapine). Those worked at first but now they don't help?
I am prescribed both klonopin and seroquel (quetiapine)... But I very rarely take my Klons. Is it safe to take 1mg of klonopin and 200mg of seroquel (quetiapine) before bed?
Yes: These medications are safely used together. I am concerned that you would not ask your doctor about this. ...Read more
Sedatives ...: Possibly safe. Whenever I'm asked about "natural" supplements (unless they're professional grade brands - such as Thorne) keep in mind that they're not usually tested for purity or potency. That said, melatonin can amplify the effects of quetiapine or clonazepam, but to what extent is unknown. Definitely discuss all of your OTC & Rx meds with your doctor - perhaps a dose change might help. G'Luck! ...Read more
Dr just put me on Remeron. Is it good for sleep? Also on klonopin and seroquel (quetiapine). Is this ok?
Promotes sleep: Remeron (mirtazapine) often induces sedation and sleep. So do Klonopin (clonazepam) and Seroquel (quetiapine). Best to discuss with your prescriber what is the primary issue being treated: primary insomnia? depression? anxiety? sleep apnea? Also: is the plan to use these meds short-term or long-term? Those meds can be useful in a variety of clinical contexts but with side effect potential. ...Read more
I am prescribed 20mg Lexapro (escitalopram) (am), 1mg klonopin as needed, and 25mg seroquel (pm). Is it safe to take the klonopin and seroquel at the same time?
On Seroquel 100 mg and .5 mg of klonopin for one year for chronic insomnia. Dr wants to either increase dosages or add Gabapentin bc insomnia is back
Listen to your doc: He or she knows you far better than we do. Or get a formal second opinion if you have doubts. Good luck! ...Read more
Been all sleep meds but they stop working pretty soon, tried trazadone worked at 400mg night, now seroquel (quetiapine) 100 and trazadone 25mg klonopin .5 safe?
Careful: Sleep medications may not be all they are cracked up to be. They often decrease deep sleep n3/rem and give you light (often nonrestorative sleep). If you are not seeing sleep specialist especially on all those medications, you should. These medications are all sedatives but none really fda approved for sleep. ...Read more
Is it ok to take Dalmane or Restoril (temazepam) with klonopin and seroquel? The Remeron just gives me too much appetite.
Talk to your doctor : It might be better to increase the dose of your Seroquel. I would avoid adding another benzodiazepine such as Dalmane or Restoril (temazepam). You are already taking Klonopin (a benzodiazepine). It's best to avoid polypharmacy and the risk of addiction. Also, you could develop rebound insomnia which means you can't sleep even though you are on medication for sleep. Talk to your doctor. ...Read more
I've gained 60 lbs on Trazadone, Seroquel (quetiapine) and Klonopin. I want to try green coffee bean extract due to being tired all day. Is it safe? I'm desperate
Med weight gain: Agree with others skeptical of green coffee bean extract for weight loss. Seroquel (quetiapine) is most likely cause for weight gain. Review with prescribing doctor to consider tapering and trying alternative at lowest dose possible less likely to cause weight gain. Weight gain from Seroquel (quetiapine) is reversible. Meantime, eat healthy, avoid junk food, limit alcohol and exercise as much as possible. Hope this helps. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
40mg citalopram in am, 4mg klonopin during day, 900mg gabapentin w dinner, 25mg seroquel @ night. Can i take 10mg of Ambien (zolpidem) with the seroquel?
My insomnia is caused by mania at night, which started at age 3 wasn't treated till adult, trazadone, klonopin, seroquel (quetiapine) 4 sleep dreams vivid, safe?
Maybe: If your insomnia is the product of a mania from bipolar disorder, then the medication combination you list is appropriate. However, if you are still having vivid dreams on that combination you need to talk to your doctor about tweaking it. In my experience, vivid dreams can be either a side effect of trazodone or from continued mood problem (i.e. Mania). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Which is a better choice if you are psychiatric meds.bystolic (nebivolol) or atenenol.on seroquel(sleep)..tegretol..lamictal...klonopin .luvox...vytoryn?
Atenolol: 1st choice: With complex metabolic profiles of your psych meds, atenolol presents lesser risk of drug interactions. The interaction of carbamazepine and fluvoxamine make it unpredictable whether there would be sufficient 2D6 inhibition by fluvoxamine to inhibit bystolic (nebivolol) metabolism which is dependent on fluvoxamine-carbamazeine 1A2 interactions. There are genetic tests for these risks. ...Read more
