What are the side effects of amoxicillin clavinuate potassium (penicillin)?

The runs: I'd say most common side effect of amox/clavulonate is loose stools. If severe, stop, if doesn't clear, call doctor. Allergy to this is generally a rash, could be throat swellling. Take afte food, all antibiotics can nauseate you or upset your stomach a bit.

What are side effects of taking losartan potassium to contol hypertension?

What are side effects of taking losartan potassium to contol hypertension?

Side effects: Losartan is a member of the angiotension receptor blocker (arb) class of anti-hypertensive agents. The side effects of this class of drugs are minor. The only serious one that can develop is a high potassium level. At your age, I would expect that you have no chronic kidney disease of any significance so I do not think that you will have this problem, at present.

What are the side effects of low potassium to unborn child?

What are the side effects of low potassium to unborn child?

Heart is in danger: Most of the k+ in the body is inside the cells. While in the uterus, placenta works to support fetal vital organs (gas exchange, toxins excretion, etc.) after birth newborn needs to support himself and with severe hypokalemia most of the vital organs would be in failure: heart (rhabdomyolysis & arrhythmia), kidneys, gastrointestinal (paralitic ileus), respiratory - from ascending paralysis, etc.

Lower dose?: You may need to lower the dose, but you should only do this with your doctor's supervision! Never stop Florinef (fludrocortisone) abruptly, it could lead to fatal adrenal crisis if you were previously on it for awhile. Florinef (fludrocortisone) supresses your body's natural production of cortisol, so stopping suddenly can cause low cortisol crisis.

What are the adverse effects of potassium sorbate on my unborn baby?

What are the adverse effects of potassium sorbate on my unborn baby?

None: This is a food preservative, a simple molecule that's naturally found in berries. There's no reason whatever to think it's going to damage your unborn child & zero scientific work to suggest this. I have seen the stuff on the internet intended to frighten people. I have concluded that it simply made up to scare people into buying overpriced "natural foods". I'm sorry his happened.

Is potassium sorbate safe with lisinopril?

Is potassium sorbate safe with lisinopril?

It depends: If you do not hint potassium it might be ok but taking Lisinopril may cause high potassium and the idea of taking potassium may not be tight. At time when patients are on high dose diuretics they have tendency to loose potassium in that case potassium needs to supplemented.

Regarding dried fruit, I thought raisins and prunes don't need preservatives. My last package of prunes had potassium sorbate. Why is that needed?

Preservative: Potassium sorbate is a natural preservative that serves basically the same function as sulfites. It is also used as a flavor enhancer in baby food. Like sulfates, it is "generally regarded as safe" by the fda.

Potassium was<6, Potassium was 2.5, levels have gone up but I am still numb on right side and its been 4 months. Doc. Wasn't sure of the cause?

? consider neurology: I really doubt that transient lower potassium may be a cause of focal (e.g., specific side or area of the body) numbness. I would suggest potential discussion with neurologist.

Just read my inhalers side effect of low potassium. I have never been tested for this any idea why?

Inhalers: It is usually a very transient drop in potassium that improves within an hour. I have never found anyone with a low potassium due to inhalers.
