I take 10gm homeopathic weightgain supplement powder in each month since 4years. Any side effects?
"Homeopathic"???: Not knowing what supplement you're taking, it's impossible to comment. Also, the term "homeopathic" can be misused. True homeopathic remedies are individually prescribed, & regulated by the fda via the homeopathic pharmacopoeia of the us: http://www.Hpus.Com/whatishpus.Php the powder you're using is most likely not a true homeopathic remedy, and is also not likely to be homeopathic to you either. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Safe, but: It won't help you lose weight. You can only do that by eating less and exercising more -- plus the diet rx's you're already on can help you, but only for as long as you take them. The diet and exercise can work for the rest of your life. If obesity is severe, bariatric surgery should at least be investigated. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

The contents of the pill you are taking are not clearly defined. In any case, you are probably not doing yourself any favor by taking an expensive food supplement. If you are deficient in B12, injections of the vitamin would be indicated. If you are not deficient you are just wasting your money.

What are the side effects of consuming alcohol while taking herbal supplements like those in Advocare MNS Max 3?
Interactions: Those interactions are probably unknown. You didn't say how much you drink, and too much isn't really good by itself, let alone, mixed with 'herbs.' Herbs are not regulated by the FDA to be safe or effective for any condition. In fact, I am pretty the label says that they are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition. Seems very unnatural: Not a natural thing to do. Biotin deficiency is rare, but can occur in persons with genetic mutations, on long-term antibiotics or anti-convulsants, or who eat a lot of raw egg whites. There is no good evidence that this easily available, over-the-counter supplement is the magic potion for anything. Biotin is safe to take, but 10000 mcg per day is over 60 times the usual dose, so is not advisable. ...Read more
