Here are a few: Number one and MOST COMMON is NOISE damage (for example if you shoot firearms and do not use Hearing Protection. Unilateral nerve damage can alseo be INFECTIOUS in nature, viral and bacterial EAR infections (=Otitis). If your doctor: thinks your symptoms are caused by this dermoid, he/she will probably recommend removal. Depends on its size and other risk factors, but you should probably have it removed in any case. Please follow advice that your doctor gives you after the MRI is complete. ...Read more
