What are the side effects of clomiphene?

What are the side effects of clomiphene?

Clomid (clomiphene) side effect: Because Clomiphene prevents estrogen action, it can cause symptoms usually associated with menopause such as hot flash, headache, emotional irritability, and insomnia. It can also cause the uterine lining to be thin and lowers the chance of implantation. Thus, if a midcycle sonogram shows an endometrial thickness of <7 mm, another medication should be chosen in the next cycle. ...Read more

What side effects can you have if u take Clomid (clomiphene) 50 MG, just 2 pills and then stop abruptly?

What side effects can you have if u take Clomid (clomiphene) 50 MG, just 2 pills and then stop abruptly?

No effect: It is not likely that taking Clomid (clomiphene) for two days would do anything to you. 2 doses is not long enough to trigger ovulation. Stopping it is not dangerous. It theoretically could interfere with your cycle by causing some bleeding but not likely. You can just wait a few days and see if bleeding occurs. If it does it should resolve on its own quickly. ...Read more

What will the side effects of taking clomiphene citrate 50 mg twice daily be?

Not used twice a day: Clomiphene/ Clomid (clomiphene) is a long-acting medication and is not given twice a day - I assume you mean two 50 mg pills once a day. If it was prescribed twice daily see a reproductive endocrinology / infertility md. ...Read more

What're the common side effects of men taking clomiphene citrate (clomid) 50 mg?

What're the common side effects of men taking clomiphene citrate (clomid) 50 mg?

None for most men: Clomiphene citrate is an estrogen antagonist. For women who are estrogen dominant, this can cause multiple side effects as the Clomiphene shifts the estrogen to androgen (male hormone) balance away from the estrogen. In men, shifting that same balance away from estrogen and toward the androgens is not a problem as men are naturally androgen dominant. Most men have virtually no side effects. ...Read more

What happens if I finish my last two days of Clomid (clomiphene) with 50mg instead of 100mg, cause of side effects?

No big difference: It will probably make little difference to your treatment. Discuss the side effects with your md to make sure that they are really associated with the clomid (clomiphene). Letrozole (femara) may be an alternative for your next treatment cycle. If you are doing a Clomid (clomiphene) challenge test (also known as a cct or ccct) it is better to stick to the 100 mg dose for the full five days. Best wishes. ...Read more
