Painful swollen cheeks persists 3 days after Novocain (procaine) for 2 dental fillings. Never had this before. Should I be concerned? Dentist said its normal.
No worries. If the treatment was extensive or there was a need for multiple injections this is common and this will go away. Take some Ibuprofen (600-800mg) every 6 hrs for 24hrs and tread lightly on the area.
