Side effects of Effexor (venlafaxine) while drinking alcohol?

Not a great combo: As a rough rule of thumb, Effexor (venlafaxine) will double the effects of alcohol, and alcohol will double the side effects of effexor (venlafaxine). So the best recommendation is skip the alcohol. At the very least, keep this formula in mind. ...Read more

Could you tell me what are side effects of drinking alcohol on lamictal?

Prob not a good idea: I am guessing you are taking it for mood stability. Alcohol is bad for mood stability. Also, not sure about lamictal, but with ssris, alcohol washes the medication out of the body, and the med is trying to build to a steady blood level. See the problem? In addition to alcohol being a depressant, it lowers the blood level of many meds. ...Read more
