I think it's more likely that your symptoms arise from the underlying spinal pathology that caused you to seek treatment in the first place. Typically not really: Gabapentin would be a drug of choice to treat a "burning sensation" in a limb if it were felt to be a pain of "neuropathic origin" or originating from some nerve root irritation.
