I cleaned my ears using hydrogen peroxide and after that, my other ear hurts but the other is fine. This is the first time this happened.

Acquired problem: Unfortunately, the peroxide turns to into water after use and too much moisture in the ear canal can lead to overgrowth of germs/fungus.You may have triggered the equivalent of "swimmers ear".A solution of alcohol and vinegar may help it dry out and eliminate the fungus, but may be too painful to use.Make a call to your doc & see if they want you to come in or just send out meds. ...Read more

So i had water stuck in my ear and i out hydrogen peroxide in it to take the water out and it worked but now my ear hurts, what should I do?

Poor choice: Hydrogen peroxide turns into water after the bubbles release oxygen. I use hydrogen peroxide to clean and qtips to take out the wax . I know its bad to use qtips. My ear hurts, I use h.P.To see if there is wax but none.

Stop with the qtips: No fingers or bobby pins either. You have probably given yourself "eczematous otitis externa". You need wax to help waterproof the ear, prevent itching, and to be a natural antibiotic and antifungal. No more than 2x a month qtips for you. Consider trying the product comfort earx that you can get on amazon. If that fails, see an ENT for an evaluation and possible rx drop like dermotic. ...Read more

Help doctor, my boyfriend put hydrogen peroxide in his ears and now it really hurts, it is a strong pain. what should he do that could help? thank you

I would flush his: ears out with plain tap water or distilled water. Lots of it. Hydrogen peroxide should never be used without diluting it 1:10 first, since it is very caustic undiluted. It can cause a chemical burn or strip your epithelium and expose the underlying tissue which is very sensitive to bacterial infection and friction. I suspect his ears are now raw and/or bleeding. Wash them out and/or go see DR ...Read more
