Side Effect Of Budecort Inhaler
Since inhalers contain steroid, will it have any side effect. My understanding is inhalers facilitate oxygen?
Minimal: The amount of steroid in inhalers is very small and the amount that goes in the blood is even smaller.
Prevents asthma attacks. This medicine is a steroid. Budesonide is a steroid for the treatment of asthma and non-infectious rhinitis (including hay fever and other allergies), and for treatment and prevention of nasal polyposis. In addition, it is used for crohn's ...Read more
I am suffering from allergy asthama, I am using inhaler for it. Is there any side effect of taking inhaler? What I take anything instead of inhaler?
Side effects, yes!: Good morning, yes, there are side effects from use of inhalers; repeated use in excess could be dangerous. Avoid allergens, if possible. Preventive steroid inhalers needs to be added. Talk to your doctor for review.
Will usage of an inhaler containing steroids for asthma for 4 months, cause any side effect for a child?
Shaking a lot after just taking symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) first time. Does it actually act this fast? Is this a side effect?
Just started dulera. Was on symbicort (budesonide and formoterol). Is side-effect profile similar? Any more likely to have sinus symptoms on dulera? How about cataracts?
Very close: I don't think the side effect profile is any different between the two but the actual side effects will be depended on the total dose of steroid included. There is a minor risk for cataracts with any inhaled steroid but this is a minor issue when compared to uncontrolled asthma. As for response, some people do prefer one over another- a toss-up.
I take symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) (budesonide and eformoterol), 6 doses a daynot. Are muscle spasms a side effect of this drug?
Yes: Yes, it is a steroid and has been associated with muscle spasms and weakness. Discuss this with your doctor.
I've been taking Symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) 80 for asthma for several weeks and I have been increasingly angry, depressed and anxious. Is this a normal side effect?
Possibly: This medication has a long acting agent similar to Adrenalin as a main component. Adrenalin is our natural stress hormone and readies our body for running away or fighting a threat. This may be something you are more sensitive to than desired. Talk your meds over with your doc and see if an alternate would be okay. Do not stop it without consulting your doc.
Have Crohn's, taking 150 mg imuran (azathioprine) and budesonide, but too tired to work out. Tips on energy boosters? Is fatigue a side effect of my meds?
Inflammation: Causes fatigue. Also Crohns can cause failure to absorb many nutrients! See your doctor and ask about these issues!See 1 more doctor answer

Phlegm in my throat and caugh so much my chest and back hurt &feel nauseous as a side effect from my inhaler. Is there anything I can do about it?
Asthma Exacerbation: Looks like you have an asthma exacerbation. If bronchodilator inhaler bricanyl (terbutaline) is not helping, you are coughing more, you need to see your doctor. You need an anti-inflammatory oral or inhaler. May be you have bronchitis also. Call for an appointment.See 1 more doctor answer

Just read my inhalers side effect of low potassium. I have never been tested for this any idea why?
My doc put me on the advair inhaler. After using for a few days im stuffy and at night I feel like I've eat cotton. Is this a side affect to this?
No and perhaps: Asthma inhalers should not lead to nasal congestion at night. (allergies certainly can.) inhalers can trigger cough and the propellant in the inhaler can taste funny and feel like a coating within the mouth, cause hoarseness etc especially if a person doesn't rinse and spit after using the inhaler. Using a holding chamber may decrease mouth side effects.
My 2 year old was prescribed an albuterol inhaler. 6 days later she woke up with an eye tic. Could this be a side affect, if so, could it be permanent?
Eye tic: Yes, this could be a side effect of the medication. You need to call your doctor to report the eye tic and get advice on how to proceed.

I am advised to take 2-3 dosages of combihale fb 200 inhaler (budesonide-200mcg and formoterol-6mcg) 2 puffs each day. Is it safe for long term?
Budesonide/formotero: I assume you are taking it for asthma. Long acting b2 agonists such as formoterol have a black box warning to increase the risk of death. It seems to be somewhat attenuated when taken along with a steroid formulation such as Budesonide as in your case. Most people do fine using this long term, though.See 1 more doctor answer
