Side Effect Of Baby Aspirin
1
I am going to start my IVF cycle and my RE has asked to start on Baby Aspirin and continue throughout the cycle. Does it have any benefits/side effect?

Probably little: Whether or not Baby ASA has any benefits depends on your clinical history: for most it does not, in some cases it may have a small benefit. Your MD can discuss whether you are "one" of these people. Side effects? It's given to babies for fever for over 50 years. There are rare complications in individuals, but these are the exception. Again discuss with your MD about these risks. Best wishes. ...Read more

I am taking Ranexa (ranolazine) for. More than a year and started having tinnitus. I do realize that it's one it's side effect. What alternative a do you suggest? PS. I also take a baby aspirin+ Mwtoprolol and Atrovastatin.

First of all: With ur doctor's supervision u can stop Ranexa (ranolazine) & see if Sx are indeed due to it. Ranexa (ranolazine) acts to reduce angina by relaxing ischemic (blood deprived) heart muscle and is used in patients who usually cant have further bypass surgery or angioplasty. Changing the dosage &/or combination of hart meds may work&/or having an angio 2 c if something can be "fixed". Good luck. ...Read more

Can I take a baby aspirin everyday? 18 years old and have high blood pressure. Benefits and side effects?

Y would U want to?: Baby Aspirin helps prevent clots (thus heart attacks and ischemic (clot-related) type strokes. Unfortunately, by the same token, it increases with risk of bleeding including hemorrhagic (bleeding-type) strokes. No study I'm familiar with has shown benefit for Aspirin for anyone under the age of 50. Even 40 year old men showed no benefit for primary prevention. (people without disease). ...Read more

Dr I'm 10 weeks pregnant, I had 2 miscarriages before at 5 weeks, now I have baby aspirin, clexane injection, folic acid, any side effect to baby?

It is likely safe:
Enoxaparin ("Clexane" in UK; "Lovenox" in US) is commonly prescribed to pregnant women and is believed to be safe. It should be stopped before delivery.
Aspirin should not be used during pregnancy *unless prescribed by a doctor*; it is commonly prescribed to treat antiphospholipid syndrome (which can lead to miscarriages) and preeclampsia.

I have lots of bruising on the front & out side of my leg. I do take 1 baby aspirin a day & inhaled steroids. What is causing this. Sore in spots.

Purpura: Easy bruising can have many causes. One of the more common causes is minor trauma--hands, forearms, legs--in people on blood thinners. Something that accelerates bruising is the use of either topical or systemic steroids. I think your Aspirin and inhaled steroids are causing/worsening the problem. Do not stop them, but talk to your doctor for options. ...Read more

Baby Aspirin has different risks/benefits based on your age, gender, and health status.
