Shoulder Muscle Weakness (Overview)

Muscle strength is typically grades 1-5. 5 is full strength, 4 is reduced against resistance, 3 is reduced to the point it can contract to overcome gravity but no other resistance, 2 muscle contracts but not strong enough to overcome gravity, 1 no significant movement. Shoulder muscle weakness would essentially be any thing less than grade 5 for shoulder muscles.
