Woke up with chills. No fever. I had an episode of diarrhea and had body aches in arms and legs for 10 minutes after this. Should I be concerned?

Seek care now.: You're describing symptoms that go along with a bladder infection (UTI) or even pyelonephritis, which is when the infection ascends to the kidneys. I have been vomiting several times for half a day, feeling bloated and nauseated, having headache and a fever of 39degrees. What should be the case?
A few things...: It's difficult to tell the source based on your symptoms. It could be infectious or it could be something surgical. If you are unable to keep down fluids and the vomiting persists you need to go to the emergency room at least for getting intravenous hydration. If the bloating continues and you stop having bowel movements, you may have obstruction, a surgical emergency. I would get seen now. ...Read more

5 days after the stomach flu I am still having bouts of nausea and extreme weakness. I just want to sleep all the time. Could it be something else?
See a doctor: With something that's 'drawn out' like what you describe, it's time to get professional evaluation. You may have become significantly dehydrated by that stomach flu- and you could be suffering consequences from that. I recommend you go to an Urgent Care center or ER for lab work ASAP. You should have recovered by now from a simple virus, so this needs further investigation and TREATMENT. ...Read more

Well,....: You may have a stomach virus, which will commonly cause your symptoms, and often with rest, and increase of clear liquids over 24 hours, with a slow increase to soft foods, will help your condition. What do you advise if i had a severe headaches 2 weeks ago last few days it is accompanied by vomiting at night and in the morning.?
What do I advise?: Consider how fortunate you are that you don't have the headache anymore. If what you really want to know is what to do if the headache comes BACK, then if ordinary OTC pain meds eg Excedrin don't work, see your doctor. It may have been a migraine. You're a little old to have new-onset migraines, but I guess it's not impossible. ...Read more

Probably viral.: We are in the "flu season" and your symptoms sound like a respiratory virus. Generally, with acute illnesses, my rule of thumb is this: However long you've been sick, it will take that much time to feel like yourself again. Of course, factors like age and health influence how quickly we bounce back. If you aren't over the worst symptoms by 7 days, or you get worse, see a doctor. ...Read more
