I've had the implanon in for 1.5 years. I didn't get a full period until now. Has it weakened to the point to worry about getting pregnant?

No: The implant is over 99 per cent effective, which means less than one in 1, 000 women using it over three years will become pregnant. It last for 3 years and its still active for you, even if you are having menses. ...Read more

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Pregnancy older: Women in their fifties can become pregnant, although less often, so some form of contraception is needed.

I would consider consistent condom use to be the most natural un-drug option which is probably enough for an older couple.

I would consider an IUD to be the most natural "hands off" contraception.

I would consider other natural options to be taking your chances. Abstinence? ...Read more

I need help getting pregnant I been trying for three years but im always on my period and im 27 I get these hug blood clots?

Infertility Workup: After one year of trying a couple is considered to have infertility problems. It would be a good idea to go see a specialist rather than your ob/gyn at this point. Even though you have your period it does not necessarily mean that you are ovulating. There may also be a male factor involved, so it would be wise for your partner to be evaluated as well. ...Read more

I don't get my period on time, sometimes I even skip a month. Will I have trouble getting pregnant? (25 years old female)

Possibly: Irregular periods may be a sign of an underlying medical condition that may affect infertility in the long run, or may be the result of pregnancy, medications, or weight loss. Some of these conditions are more easily rectified than others, so see your doctor to be evaluated. ...Read more

I am 43 years old, I still have a period every month, can I still get pregnant or am I to old? Can recreational drug use also be the cause of not getting pregnant if both partners are using? I don't take birth control and I have had the same partner for t

Pregnant at 43: Yes you can still get pregnant at 43. You likely do not ovulate on a regular, consistent basis even with regular periods, but you most certainly can still get pregnant. Drug use may affect fertility. You do not want to be using drugs in preconception or pregnancy timeframes for BOTH your health and that of your unborn child. ...Read more

Can I still ovulate if I had no period since I've been off birth control for a year? What are my chances of getting pregnant?

Yes: You can ovulate if you have been off birth control for a year and had no period. A woman will ovulate and then have a period. I haven't had a period in a year because of birth control I got an pelvic exam and everything is normal so what's the reason im not getting pregnant?

Not on the internet: Fertility problems can be one of a number of chemical or physical problems. A pelvic exam is not in any way a fertility examination. Nor will it provide any data or answer as to why one is not conceiving. If you need a fertility test then you and your male partner should go see a true fertility expert. ...Read more

It is day 13 after the last day of my period! We are trying to get pregnant, what r the chances of us getting pregnant tonight?

Only 1 way to know: The only way to know is to try. Ovulation is calculated by subtracting 14 days from the date you expect to have your next period. Not by counting forward. Example-- if your periods come every 30 days then subtract 14 and you would be ovulating 16 days after your period. Good luck. ...Read more
