The inside corners of my eyes itch/burn but are not red. Itching them only makes it worse and more persistent. Eye drops do not help.

Examination time: Mixed itching & burning symptoms are a broad symptom complex. It's best to have examination. If it's the eyeball's inner corner, antihistamine or mild steroid eye drop would likely help. If it's the inner eyelid skin, then it may require an ophthalmic steroid ointment. Warm compresses & eyelid cleansing may help as well. An examination will help to elucidate the cause & best approach to treatment. ...Read more

I would suggest looking closely at your exposures the next time the symptoms arise, such as cosmetics, corrective lenses, environmental allergens, and medications. ...Read more

No pain, no itching, just red eyes. Condition i've had throughout my life. Tried many eye drops, mostly artificial tears. Ways to prevent redness?

Many possibilities: It can be way too many things to list, such as chronic allergies, pterygium, chronic dry eyes, large blood vessels, etc. An ophthalmologist would be able to tell. The one thing you don't want to start doing is self treating with very dangerous eye drops, such as visine and clear eyes, which will certainly make it worse. Start with an ophthalmology exam and go from there. Feel better. ...Read more
