Should I Use A Pre Workout Supplement
Supplements: This depends on a number of factors which you must take into consideration. Your state of health. Do you live a healthy lifestyle, and eat a very healthy diet? How vigorous are the workouts and how frequent? Maybe you do not need supplements but perhaps you do. Do your home work and learn about these matters. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
A dietary supplement, also known as food supplement or nutritional supplement, is a preparation intended to supplement the diet and provide nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, fatty acids, or amino acids, that may be missing or may not be consumed in sufficient quantities in a person's diet. Some countries define dietary supplements as foods, while ...Read more
Protein powder: pre- vs. post-workout is controversial. Many believe that post-work out is best because it restores what has been burnt up in the workout. Some say pre-workout to give you energy for a better workout. IMO, post-workout is best and you can add a pre-workout shake but it would need to be an hour or two prior. Peace and good health. ...Read more
Yes: I know you've got some pretty severe drug restrictions with isotretinoin--but you should not have problems with an herbal "fat burner"--although frankly, they don't do much good. I recommend Metformin, to restore insulin receptor sensitivity, to help you lose weight. Also, white kidney bean extract taken with carbohydrates (when you "fall of the wagon") acts as a "starch blocker." ...Read more
Can a 55kg bodybuilding beginner take mega mass or supermass. And what about casilan 90. When should supplements be taken( after or before workouts)?
Be careful!: Be careful! dietary supplements are not well regulated. Unlike prescription and over the counter drugs, which are regulated by the fda, supplements are not. The ingredient list is not always accurate, and may contain harmful ingredients. Drugs have to have scientific evidence of safety and effectiveness, but even they can have side effects. Supplements do not have such safeguards. ...Read more
I workout daily in gym...My weight is ok..I want to ask that what should I eat before and after the workout for better results & healthy muscles?
Controversial topic: If you read the health, fitness & bodybuilding magazines, there's a bit of disagreement as to what to eat before & after exercise. Most everyone agrees not to eat anything "heavy". And hydration is important too. There's disagreement when it comes to timing of post-exercise protein but chocolate milk is the latest darling as a combination of carb & protein. Try to include protein in every meal. ...Read more
Is it safe for a 17 year old boy to workout everyday with a regular diet? Should i tAke protein lightly? Not trying to gain weight
You are fine: as long as you get enough calories for your workout and eat a well balanced diet, you should be fine. you don't have to do the protein but if you are not getting enough protein per meal than it might be a good idea. usually you want ~30g of protein per meal if you are trying to gain muscle. more than that is a waste usually. fyi chocolate milk is a good recovery drink ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Im a group blood o male , should I really avoid whey protein supplement for my gym work out ? Any suggestion or replacement for whey supplement?
Whey should be OK: I've read dr. D'adamo's book & remain skeptical. There isn't adequate science to support the assertion that all type o's should avoid dairy. See http://www.Earthsave.Org/health/bloodtyp.Htm for a good critique. I strongly recommend whey from grass-fed cows processed at low temperature such as whey cool: http://www.Rockwellnutrition.Com/p-designs-for-health-whey-cool-vanilla-organic-whey-protein. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I take whey protein before & after my workouts, would it hurt or help to add a fat burning supplement such as zantrex 3?
Don't think so: The combined effect should not matterGet a more detailed answer ›
No problem: I see no problem with this protein supplement. Your body will process & use the products of your diet & assemble milk for baby based on babies needs, not necessarily what you eat. You will not necessarily make your milk into super milk by doing the supplement, but i see no harm to baby from its use. ...Read more

I am getting a colonoscopy tomorrow and have low magnesium & potassium which I take supplements for. I am using MoviPrep before the procedure; Should i continue to take these supplements too?
Can I take vitamins or probiotics while doing a body/colon cleanser ? And how long should I use cleanser for? Mine says no more then 30days
The road to health..: ...does NOT lead through your rectum. Colon cleansing can cause vomiting, electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, jaundice & kidney failure. It was discredited a century ago. It may sound appealing but there is NO scientific evidence for it. Claims that toxins in your GI tract cause health problems eg arthritis, allergies, asthma are nonsense. Be skeptic, not a sucker. ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers
