Iron deficiency: It is important to know the exact cause of anemia -it may be 'more' than iron. Make sure your doc explains your lab tests. If it is indeed iron deficiency, then dietary iron (spinach, raisins, beans and of course red meat if you are not a vegetarian) are all dietary ways to increase iron.
