Should I Keep The Newborn Away From My Toddlers When They Are Sick
Yes: This is an excellent question. I would say yes (and to have them cover to cough and wash hands often). I will also refer this to other doctors to learn what our healthtap neonatologists, pediatricians and infectious disease experts have to say about exposure to 'germs' and long-term health. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
My 17 month old is very active and hates the stroller!how can I make her stay quiet like other kids when we are out or when i go to the mall?
It's true, you can't: "make" a toddler behave, but you can reward behaviors you want & ignore behaviors you don't want. Briefly state the rule before going to a mall, place her in a stroller that has a seat belt she can't remove. Stay about 10 minutes. Don't respond, make eye contact or act upset at her crying. Back at the car, say " Good job staying in the stroller." Read " Little People" by Ed Christopherson. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

With resistant staph bacteria (mrsa), the infection can be hard to get rid of. Impetigo can spread from person to person, and should be evaluated by a primary care doctor, sometimes with help from an infectious diseases expert. "cysts" may have to be cut out if recurrent. ...Read more

I keep probiotics in the refrigerator even though they don't need to be.Will they be fine if I now keep them at room temperature while I travel?
Probably so: Look on the bottle. Most probiotics don't need refrigeration. Some that recommend it, don't really require it. Even if they do, keeping them at RT for a few days probably won't affect them dramatically. Obviously just take as many as you might need during the voyage. Or if worried, buy a small quantity of a kind that does not say it needs refrigeration. ...Read more

Not rare / worrisome: This is called sleep talking and generally occurs in a deep sleep state, early into that nap or sleep. It is considered by some a sign of a sleep deficit.
