Residual infection?: After 6 weeks the extraction site should be 95% healed. Residual infection from the surgery is possible and i believe you asked an earlier question about your lip being swollen which likely is being caused by that as well. Go back to the doc or surgeon who removed your wisdom tooth to have the area checked and if infection is confirmed you will need antibiotics to help it heal. ...Read more
