Should I go to the er? I think my foreskin got stuck behind the head?

Should I go to the er? I think my foreskin got stuck behind the head?

Yes: If you are not able to move the foreskin back over the glans (head), it can cut off the circulation and kill off part of the penis. Try ice and lotion or soap to try to reduce the swelling and lubricate the skin to slide back over. However, if it does not reduce (slide back over), it needs to be treated in the er. ...Read more

I just recently pulled the foreskin back and it is currently stuck behind the head and won't go back to its normal position. I've tried pushing it back forward but it won't budge. Is this an emergency?

Somewhat: There may be a problem called phimosis which prevents normal retraction of the foreskin, but if it gets stuck behind the glans penis it should be addressed by a physician or a urologist. If applying cold applications to the penis doesn't allow you to bring the foreskin over the glans to its normal position, head to the hospital emergency room to avoid complications. ...Read more

When soft my foreskin goes back n forth no bother.when erect it doesn't retract as easily and tends to stick behind the head until I go soft again???

That is normal...: What described about your foreskin could be just normal & unique for you. A direct look at by experienced eyes like urologists', will surely answer your question. Nevertheless, without a look at, it may represent a long yet marginally tight opening of the foreskin. In life reality, it would be best to leave it alone with no bother as long as being comfortable despite the look as described. ...Read more

Hi I am worried as I have retracted my foreskin for the first time and it is stuck behind my head is this normal for the first time?

Please be seen.: The foreskin should not get stuck behind the head of the penis. If this happens, this could lead to a dangerous situation called paraphimosis and the constriction of the head of the penis can be damaging. Please try to replace the forskin immeditately, and go to the emergency room if you cannot do so! after it is replaced, see a urologist to try to address the phimosis. ...Read more

See answer : Phimosis refers to the inability to adequately retract the distal foreskin over the glans penis. One to five percent of males will have nonretractible foreskins by age 16 years. 0.1 -0.05% Betamethasone dipropionate applied to the preputial orifice twice a day for up to 4-6 weeks accompanied by gentle, manual retraction/stretching of the foreskin. Circumcision reserved for persistent phimosis. ...Read more

Foreskin doesn't go back behind the head with an 'erect' penis. Not the problem when it is soft. Phimosis?

Here are some ...: Can you retract foreskin for easy cleaning, and have you had trouble in topical hygiene and sexual function? If so, circumcision by skillful surgeon would be the choice of long-term care for you. But from what you described is perceived as a marginal case of phimosis. How to deal with it should be based on clinical necessity as noted above. So, see & ask Doc timely. ...Read more
