Should I Blow My Nose After Nasal Deongestant Spray
Why using spray?: Why are you using the spray? It is very powerful and very habit forming. Use it no more than 3 days. Blowing your nose is not an issue. If you have a cold or some other temporary issue the spray is "ok" but only for 3 days and no more. ...Read more
I have allergies. I use ATROVENT and Qnasl. I rinse my sinuses before. Then ATROVENT. Then Qnasl. My nose still runs after. When can I blow my nose?
Before the spray: If Qnasl & Atrovent failed to control the runny nose, it is time for you to consult an allergist. Do note that sometimes the sinus cavity may retain the water from the irrigation causing the runny nose when you tip your head in a certain position. Preferably you should blow your nose or irrigate your sinuses before using any spray. ...Read more
After using walgrees saline nasal spray, i still have sinus pressure. Should i switch to afrin nasal spray? I didn't really use the nasal spray often.
Stay away from Afrin (oxymetazoline): Sorry about using brand names but you really want to stay from afrin, neosynephrine (phenylephrine) & similar products. They're fantastic decongestants but quickly lead to rhinitis medicamentosa which is our fancy way of saying you become addicted to them. Check out http://www.Nytimes.Com/2006/03/14/health/14spra.Html sinus pressure is expected w/common cold. Fever & sinus pain is more worrisome for sinus infxn. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Perhaps: but not for more than 5 days consecutively. Be sure to aim Beconase (beclomethasone) towards the outside wall of the nose and see if it helps. See an allergist if none of the above worked. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have a confirmed nose bleeder, polyps and congested nose. I am on antihistamine, saline wash and steroid spray. Is that the best solution?
Only if they work: This is a very complex issue as there are many potential causes for your problem. It appears that you may have a chronic sinus infection as well. A less common condition is known as Aspirin exacerbated rhinosinusitis (often accompanied by asthma) and in which case another class of drug called leukotriene modifier may work better.
