Should I Be Worried If I Feel My Baby Move Less Than 10 Times A Day
Is it safe to give an 8 month old baby Infant Tylenol (acetaminophen) every day during teething to help with teething pain & discomfort? Baby's weight is 18 lbs.

How many times a day are 2 month old babies suppose to be eating..? & how many ounces in every feeding. -formula
How fed ????: A breast fed infant may stool a bit every feeding or an overflow diaper once a week. If it is soft it is not constipation. If formula fed, the pattern is more likely to be a few daily or at least every other day. If stools are soft & baby feeds well & plays, there is no reason to be concerned. If a poor feeder & not wetting diapers at least every 6 hours, i would have her checked. ...Read more
Multiple: Some depends on whether the baby is breast fed or bottle fed but most babies stool 1 to 7or 8 times per day. Some can even skip several days> most important is the consistency not the frequency. Babies should have soft to watery stools not hard little balls of stool. ...Read more
My 14 weeks infant will pee 10 to 12 times during day times., i breastfeed every 3 hours once. She wont pee entire night. Is this normal?
See eye doctor: A blocked tear duct occurs in up to 50% of newborns. This typically presents with crusting and tearing of one or both eyes after age 6-8 weeks. You can treat this with warm compresses and massaging the inner corner of the eyelid, near the nose. There are many other causes of eye discharge including infection, allergy, or eye irritation. If it persists see your eye doctor. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Our six month old infant is teething. Baby paracetamol (calpol) provides definite relief. The insert says we can give it to him up to 4 times per day. But for how long can we do this safely? 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month?
Teething is normal: This is another name for acetaminophen and it is a mild analgesic only. It is OK to use this infrequently. Acetaminophen has its own drawbacks and that can be looked-up online. Try to let your child chew on a cold clean rag or something, it helps. This will come and go and they will get through this, and so will you!! ...Read moreSee 6 more doctor answers
Is it possible that my babies cord is wrapped around his neck he has the hiccups a lot in the womb 2 times a day at least.. Very nervous?
Many do: A neck wrap is common and thought to result around 12 wks when there is more room to flip around. The hiccups are unrelated.I have had healthy infants with as many as 5 wraps and their presence is often noted by poor progress in labor and abnormal changes during labor in the fetal heart rate on the monitor. This rarely causes any issues before the work of labor starts.C-section is often needed. ...Read more
I changed the formula on my 3month old from enfamil infant to enfamil a.R he passes stools 5 times a day now: yellow thicker w/ mucus is that normal?
Yes: The difference between the two formulas is that the ar contains a rice starch to "thicken" the formula a bit so that the baby doesn't spit up as much. This can increase fiber content in the stool, making the stools a bit thicker. 5 poops a day for a 3 month old is totally normal. Babies poop a lot! ...Read more
What causes a recurring swollen eye in an infant. No redness or discharge. Swelling usually goes down the same day and has happened 3 times in 4 weeks?
It varies: Babies, depending on whether they are primarily breast fed or formula fed, may have a bowel movement after every feeding, once or twice a day, or once every 2-3 days. As long as it is soft (mushy or like thick soup), it is normal. Call your doctor if the stool is usually hard balls or all water with no substance. ...Read more
Hw many times during pregnacy are u suppoe to go for an ultrasound to check the babies weight gain?
As needed: There is no specific recommendation for routine ultrasound exams during a normal pregnancy. However, most women are going to have at least one ultrasound at 18 to 21 weeks, the ideal time to evaluate for normal fetal structures. There will likely be additional sono's if there is a problem with the size of the uterus (abdominal measurements), gestational diabetes, elevated blood pressure, etc. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
