Should I Be Nervous That My Toddler Got Blood On Her From A Gay Man
Clarification: If you suspect your toddler may have been exposed to blood or serum from an unknown patient, it is always best to get him or her evaluated by your family physician, urgent care, or an emergency room physician. However, the workup he or she receives will be the same, regardless of the blood's source. Exposure to blood from homosexual and heterosexual patients are evaluated in the same manner. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have a one year old son who i recently change his diaper and i saw blood spotting on his private part. What do you think it can be?
Foreskin Adhesions?: An amount of blood large enough to be seen is rarely going to be from your child's urine. The most likely source is from a break in adhesions around the base of the foreskin. Examine the skin at the base of the foreskin that looks inflamed. Foreskin can naturally adhese to head of penis and will cause small amount of blood when retracted and adhesions break. Apply vaseline irritated areas. ...Read more

My husband has a small bruise on his actual EYEBALL after getting in a fight yesterday. Is this something we should be worried about?
Eye bruise: Concern for blood in or around the eyeball or globe really depends on what part of the eye is involved. If the bruise in on the white part of the globe or sclera, it isn't a big problem. However, if there is blood behind the clear part of the eye or cornea, it should be seen by an ophthalmologist right away. Also, if there are any vision problems, he should be evaluated right away. ...Read more

I have a 4 year old daughter, and ever since she was young she flaps her arms when's she's excited or happy. Could this be a sign of autism?
Unlikely...: Motor stimulation is common and normal in kids who are excited. Autism is characterized by difficulty with interpersonal relationships, communication, using language and abstract concepts. Does your daughter speak, make eye contact, and engage with you and others? If so, she is not autistic - enjoy the flapping because there is nothing better than a happy and excited kid. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

There : There are many things that can cause a growth in the lower lip, from the simple (fibroma or mucocel) to the complex (cancer). There are very few things that can cause a growth in the lower lip that will miraculously disappear. Without obtaining a sample of the tissue to microscopically examine it is impossible to provide a diagnosis. Mucocel, or better known as mucous extravasation phenomena, is the result of damage to one of the hundreds of minor salivary glands located in the mouth. Either the gland itself is damaged or the duct that allows the saliva to escape into the mouth. The result is that the saliva is still produced around meal times but has no where to escape to causing a build up in the tissues. These lesions can grown quite large and become painful. Occasionally the saliva will slowly leak into the mouth allowing the swelling to decompress. Unfortunately this is not the end of the problem. In situations like this i recommend removal of the lesion for diagnostic, and potentially curative, purposes. If you are not comfortable with your present surgeon seek a second opinion. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My baby girl has a red spot on Her white of her eye. I am worried as to what it could be. Also, after every letter i type on here the cursor moves.
That could be a: broken blood vessel from delivery, depending on the age of your baby. If it seems painful, it could also be that she poked her eye with her nail, or someone else's.
