Not uncommon: Similar to a car accident - you may feel worse several days after the accident. Did you lose consciousness? If so, then see your doctor for exam. Other concerning signs would be fuzzy thinking, headaches, dizziness, nausea, numbness / tingling in the hands or arms. Knocked out.: If the box you and you were knocked out it is much more likely you may have a significant injury. We look for neurologic findings such as mental confusion, upset stomach, eyes focusing properly, ambulating properly. Not necessarily: In the absence of other symptoms, the wait and see approach to a stiff neck is ok. The bump is enough to explain minor muscle or connective tissue irritation contributing to the stiffness. Apply heat and get adequate rest/hydration and see if it improves. ...Read more
