Any help and or advice for short term memory loss please? Thanks

Sleep, Food, Practice: Short term memory is determined by many factors: genetic, internal and external environmental influences, and cognitive/behavioral factors. Genetic/inherent ability. Internal=inside body (sleep, nutrition, anxiety/relaxation/pain/health/illness), external=outside body (distractions, temperature, etc). Cog/behav (focus, visualization, linking new names/terms to something known/practice).

How do you know when your suffering from short term memory loss?

What is STM?: Short-term memory (stm) refers to the ability to remember info for about a minute. For example, if given a list of ten random digits to recall, you should be able to recall immediately about 7 digits (+/- 2). Stm is not a unified process. It is made up of attention, storage, search, and recall. If you are not paying attention to begin with, stm will be poor. Anxiety can also reduce stm.
