Not likely.: Tsh in "normal" range so not technically hypothyroid. Some would argue that TSH should actually be lower. I would repeat this in a few months. If normal again would stop worrying. If abnormal diagnosis is clear. In any case eyebrow thinning is not likely due to this tsh. ...Read more

Hypothyroidism: Hi, you may have subclinical hypothyroidism, and/ or hashimoto's thyroiditis. You may need to have further testing done, thyroid auto-antibodies, anti-per -oxidase antibodies lab tests and perhaps a thyroid sonar. Was growth stunted?: Prolonged hypothyroidism with very elevated TSH can cause growth slow down in actively growing children. It is unusual to present like this when a child is seen annually by a pediatrician who plots height on a growth chart.
