My roommate had full body aches yesterday and her stomache hurts, she has pain on her right side and she gets shooting pain down her right leg.

Severe pain i, have had this pain which i, thought was my groin area for about 3 months, I get a shooting pain near my inner groin and pelvis area when i, lift up my right leg, it is only my right side not my left side that hurts. I, can't sleep at night

Hello.: Hello. Since this has been evaluated, no problem has been identified that requires surgery and medication is not working, recommend you consider medical acupuncture to augment your treatment. There are more md's and do's being trained in acupuncture through out the us. This can often provide assistance in functional problems when western medicine sometimes can't. I am a western trained physician, but I am so glad that acupuncture provides me with other ways to help my patients with pain. Take care. Read more

Nice description: Nice observations! Look on the net for leg "dermatomes" and for images of nerve sensory distributions in the leg. See if you can correlate your symptoms to a specific nerve or dermatome. Then take this information to your doctor. Pain maybe "neuralgiform" - meaning generated by a nerve. Treatment depends on which nerve (if nerve) and what is affecting it. Read more

Orthopedic spine: Your condition is a slip of one vertebra over another. When this happens the nerves exiting your spine get "pinched" and that gives you the radiating pain. The lysis refers to the problem with a part of the spine responsible for stability keeping the vertebra in line. Most people do well with surgery. You should see and orthopedic spine surgeon as the next step. Read more
