What could cause deep stabbing and throbbing pain at the base of left calf muscle (inner leg), burning and radiating pain at base of Achilles extending around inside of left ankle and numbness in outer three toes on left foot?
Tarsal tunnel : Description sounds somewhat like tarsal tunnel syndrome which is an entrapped nerve in the ankle but could also be referred lumbar radiculopathy (pinched nerve in back) or just really bad tendinitis compressing the nerves of the lower leg. Heel spur on back of foot &below back of foot. Achilles tendinitis visible bump on the side opposite of the ankle. Been years. Pains unbearable. Help?
Sick Achilles.: Your comments sound like the findings of a previous x-ray exam. I'm not sure what is meant by "bump on the opposite side of the ankle". If it is in the Achilles tendon, then extreme pain, could make sense. It sounds as though there is something amiss with your Achilles tendon. It would make sense to immobilize the ankle, and begin non-weight bearing until tendon imaging studies can be performed ...Read more

What's causing the sharp shooting pain on the side/top of my big toe and up to my ankle? Side of toe feels numb and tingly.
Neuralgia: Could be local in the foot/ankle such as a pinched nerve, possibly secondary to shoes or exercise. Try avoiding anything tight on foot and rest.
