Unlikely: Many neck issues in your age group are brought on by poor posture esp slouching or lack of exercise. Use of. Computers, carrying a heavy backpack can also aggravate your neck and upper back muscles. Try to look at your posture to make sure you sit and stand fully erect. Could be...: I assume the arm is in a sling or likely shoulder immobilizer. Was this a surgical repair? Could be related nerves/reflex distribution of pain fibers from the shoulder/arm. I'd follow up with the doctor that treated the fracture or your primary care physician. ...Read more

Go see your DR for a: Thorough exam and accurate dx. Possibilities include muscle strain, carotid artery narrowing, sinusitis, intestinal problems etc. Based on your age, you may consider a screening colonoscopy, ekg , blood test to check for diabetes, kidney, prostate, liver & cholesterol problems etc. Stay active and maintain ideal weight .God bless u! ...Read more

Likely muscle throb: Women, pregnant or not, w/ throbbing in side of neck who have had med tests to rule out serious problems are left with a couple of poss. causes: nervous tick (if due to anxiety), nerve irritatio: mechanical-due to pregnancy or just due to spinal or rib dysfunction irritating nerve.In pregnancy, meds are a bad idea, but osteopathic hands-on exam may find cause & gentle manipulation may fix it. ...Read more

Crack my neck alot. Turned head to left side to crack, intense sharp shooting pain down side of neck to upper back.Could I have injured something?

Possible: Sounds like you may have pinched a nerve when "cracking your neck". It is also possible that a muscle has also been injured or is in spasm and your neck movement may make it worse.
