Sporadic shooting pain in my inner left thigh near my groin, feel it 6-8 times/day & lasts a few secs, mainly while seated. Any indication what it is?

Talk to your doctor: That pain could be caused by a number of things. However, at your age, the most likely reason could be intermittent compression of a branch of the sciatic nerve on that side. You should be examined first, and if your doctor feels that nerve compression could be there, an MRI could be helpful. If there is a disc herniation, and the pain is persistent and severe, an epidural injection could help. ...Read more

Radiating pain in left thigh. From anterior to posterior thigh, shin and calf. I've had many negative ultrasounds on leg. Should I worry of blood clot?

Unlikely: If you have had negative ultrasound exams I think it would be unlikely due to a blood clot. I would recommend discussing other potential causes such as sciatica with your regular physician. A thorough examination may reveal some hints. Further imaging of the low back may be indicated. ...Read more

I have constant pain in my left knee, dull and achy, with intermittent shooting pain up my thigh, and causes me to limp, especially after sitting.?

Depends: Knee and thigh pain can actually come from an issue within the hip. Do you have any hip pain? The only way to tell is to get an exam and evaluate both the knee and hip joints. I cannot give you a direct answer to what is causing your pain without more information and a physical exam. See your doctor to get to a more accurate diagnosis. ...Read more

SI JOINT dx. Went to PT yesterday, they did traction.  Now left buttocks and leg numb to mid thigh.  Shooting pain also. Cant bend Why no mri? What to

More than SI joint: Your new symptoms are classic for a nerve in your low back being compressed. I would suggest treatment for same. MRI might confirm the cause but bottom line the nerve needs to be uncompressed. Hopefully you can find help for same. You have a form of sciatica and the numbness implies more serious nerve compression. Most likely the L5 nerve root. Some Relief is appropriate to seek soon. ...Read more
