Shooting Pain In Left Temple
I have eczema on my rectum, it went away after applying triamcinolone. It has returned and whenever I wipe my rectum I get a shooting pain in left arm?
Intertrigo: The peri-rectal area is a common area for a rash known as intertrigo. This starts off as an irritation and then secondarily becomes colonized by yeast usually. Avoid using wet wipes to wipe the area. It can be treated with a combination of topical steroid and topical anti-yeast creams and often takes a few weeks to resolve. Zeasorb powder is useful to prevent recurrence. See a dermatologist.

? TMJ: Most commonly that is due to inflammation of the jaw joint.
ParoxysmalHemicrania: Headache attacks are usually distributed equally throughout the day and night and, similar to a cluster headache, may awaken the patient from sleep. The intensity of the headache is described as moderate to severe with a throbbing, boring or stabbing quality. Almost all cases of Paroxysmal Hemicrania are relieved by indomethacin.
Temporal arteritis: Do you feel a pulsing sensation over your left temple. An ultrasound exam of your temporal artery can determine if you have a condition called temporal arteritis. It can be treated.

I have a shooting pain in right temple area of my head. The pain comes every 15-20 seconds and goes away in 4-5 seconds. This is happening continously

I thought I had gotten an ear infection due to a shooting pain I was feeling in my left ear but now this pain has moved up my head by my temple?
TMJ?: See a dentist who treats TMJ. Your symptoms are consistent with that condition but of course there are many possibilities.
Think I have a somewhat swollen gland on the back left of my neck. No fever been having minor headaches for days and pain from neck to around ears and temple. Yesterday had shooting pain up my back. This is all so sudden and random. Ideas?
Seek medical attn.: This concerns me. Sounds like a cyst or abscess that requires removal and antibiotic therapy. Because it is on the neck with pain radiating into and around your ears, this can be dangerous because your brain is not far from that area. I advise you to seek immediate medical attention.See 1 more doctor answer

Pupil big: Normally the pupils are wide in darkness, but if it is only on one side and accompanied with shooting headache, you need a neurological evaluation as soon as possible. Blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, etc should be watched for as well. How did the pain start? Have this info ready when you see the doctor.
I have an infrequent shooting pain in the left side of my head that happens not often. I don't have migraines.?
See your dentist: Dentists specialize in treating facial issues. See your dentist and have them evaluate you for bruxism, an abscessed tooth, trigeminal neuralgia, or TMJ. Your symptoms could be a wide range of issues. Your dentist should be able to help you figure out what is wrong or can point you in the direction of a specialist who can. Best of luck :)
If I'm getting shooting pain on the left side of my head could that be a pinched nerve in my neck?
Many things: Could be many things, including TMJ. Start with your regular MD. If TMJ, see a TMJ-orofacial pain expert to help evaluate and treat your problem. A TMJ-oro-facial pain expert can be general dentist, an oral surgeon, prosthodontist, orofacial pain specialist. Ask your physician, dentist or dental society for a recommendation.
I've been having this shooting pain on the left side of my head for the last 2 months. The pain lasts for only a matter of seconds but its excruciating. I suffer from anxiety, could this be the cause or something else? Btw it occurs when im driving, washi
Shooting pain: There really is not enough information to narrow down much the possibilities of what could be causing your pain. Anxiety can play a role in many complaints, including pain. However, as this pain is excruciating and persisting for two months I would encourage you to see your doctor to clarify what else could be causing this.
I have had shooting pain in the left side of my head that comes about every three minutes, and it just started a few days ago. What could it be?
Guessing game: Whether right or left, the point is that you are having fairly regular pains in the head. Still not enough information to make a diagnosis. Statistically, most likely diagnosis at your age is migraine.
