Many possibilities: Pain from the shoulder down the arm my be caused by a variety of things. Starting at the neck, there may be a pinched nerve, or the joints in the neck may be irritated. The muscles around the neck and shoulder may develop trigger points or tendonopathy which cause radiating pain. The shoulder itself may develop impingement. Sounds like pinched: nerve, but any pain in left arm is concerning for angina. You are quite young to develop heart disease, but you should see your doctor to make sure your heart is ok, especially if you have risk factors. ...Read more

I suggest you try taking some ibuprofen 2-3 times a day for a few weeks and using warm compresses and gentle stretches for the shoulder. Seek consult: I would recommend you see either an orthopedic surgeon or a neurosurgeon as you may have a problem with a disc in your neck. I sounds suspicious for a "pinched nerve" or herniated cervical disc. A physical examination and possible a MRI would be helpful.
