Need more info: Could be your hip. If acute onset-was there a precipitating accident. Could be hernia, high lumbar radiculopathy pain. How did it start. You should get evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon, physiatrist, or sports medicine specialist. ...Read more

Talk to your doctor: That pain could be caused by a number of things. However, at your age, the most likely reason could be intermittent compression of a branch of the sciatic nerve on that side.
