Hello doctor, whenever I have my periods, I have following issues : low bp, shivering, sweating, I also get fits at times. Is all this normal?

You mean seizures?: By fits do you mean seizures? That wouldn't be a "normal" symptom of either PMS nor should it be happening while on your period. You need an examination and also need to keep track of your "fits" by both description as well as date, timing, and you should get eye witness accounts of these things. If you'd like a 1-1 consult I'd be happy to help.

Are headaches, acid reflux, frequent night sweats, and trembling signs of stress and/or anxiety?

Maybe: It's always wise to really rule out medical causes first since treating those could be important and/or simple. If there are no findings, I'd ask for a Psychologist referral for an evaluation. Just a Rx will miss the benefits of learning better ways to manage life and a professional Dx is important - they'll refer if you need pills. Step-by-step, you'll find answers. ...Read more

Can you control your bloodpressure and your heartrate and your sweating all at the same time to be able to control your inner nervous system?

Can you control your bloodpressure and your heartrate and your sweating all at the same time to be able to control your inner nervous system?

Astoundingly, Yes: There are a couple of techniques to enable this level of control. Certain practitioners of meditation techniques can do it, but the more common way is to use a device called a biofeedback system. This gives you conscious insight into the usually imperceptible actions of the body's "unfelt" nerves and muscles. But all that said, the answer for most of us is "nope.". ...Read more
