My dd is 2yrs dgnsd with spastic diplegia. She's sitting unaided(sitting up on own), pulling up to stand, crawling, pulling to stand. What's prognosis?

Each child is unique: The fact that she is developing so well increases the likelihood that she will be more functional as she gets older. However, every child is different, so there is no way to be precise. The important thing is to continue with aggressive therapy and see the neurologist regularly for medication adjustments, etc. The goal is to give her every opportunity to meet her potential. ...Read more

Do I have POTS?
Heartrates:
When I sit: 78
When I stand 2 min: 95
When I stand 10 min: 119
When I stand 20 min: 124
When I sit again: 64 (directly)

Not likely POTS: Of all the possibilities , most likely you are underweight and not eating nearly enough. it is not pure dehydration- just undernourishment . your baseline heart rate is low and you then have signs of your heart rate compensating to a low blood volume when you stand. you need to drink more now to get the volume up but most importantly you need to get help (without me knowing enough ) ...Read more

You may just be "out of shape" but you need to talk to a doctor to get started on finding out the answers. ...Read more

How come i get dizzy everytime i stand up after sitting or laying down?

Dizzy standing up: Your blood pressure changes when you stand, but should quickly normalize so that you do not notice. Occasional dizziness may be minor. When you have frequent postural hypotension, this adjustment does not happen as quickly and you notice the drop (dizziness). Your doctor can check your baseline blood pressure and make sure you do not have other issues that may contribute to postural hypotension. ...Read more
