Shiny Red Spot On Penis
A red shiny spot on penis has grown a little bit. It's flaky at times. Doesn't hurt or itch. Been here over a year and half. May have spread a lil?
L planus? Psoriasis?: As a guess, you might have lichen planus or psoriasis. Both are harmless. Google them for photos to compare with your penile rash. But there are ohter possibilities as well. There's no point in trying to know the cause by written description or online searching. Show it to your doctor, or ideally a dermatologist.
I have a red spot, kind of shiny, the size of the tip of marker mabye, and it stays there for a month or 2, on head of penis under foreskin?
Difficult to know: At your age a recurring but resolving lesion on the glans may be nothing to worry about. However, this is something that has to be looked at to know. It could require nothing or a topical medication but could require further testing and even a biopsy. No reason to risk a problem. Get it checked out by your pcp, a urologist or a dermatologist.See 1 more doctor answer

Here are some. ..: Herpetic lesion wouldn't heal up in 1-2 days, but runs its certain course. So, the reported lesion may not be associated with HSV infection. But if your lifestyle and sexual practice are in high-risk category for contracting STD, go to Doc for testing and counseling soon for current concern and for future prevention. At this time, I wouldn't guess yes or no for being infected.See 2 more doctor answers

Just watch...: The described red spot might have been there all along your life, but just recently noticed. If so, just a tiny harmless vessel cluster, or a mole. So, if not hurting, don't pick on it and just watch for next few months to see if it changes in size, color, height, etc. Of course, if still in doubt, see Doc timely for verification since it's hard to derive an accurate Dx without a direct look at it
Have an exam: This may be nothing more than an abrasion. However, a physical exam is needed to evaluate for a communicable disease or even a cancer

Bottom 2 photos are STDs (HPV and Molluscum) to be evaluated by your MD so s/he can rule out other STDs and council you for prevention.
