I am experiencing rash on my side shingles. When do the blisters pop and itching stop?

I have a blister type rash that the blisters are matalic in color it is across my whole chest not to one side like shingles please help?

Try domeboro: Soaks to dry up blisters, but I would recommend figuring out the cause of the blisters. (sun exposure, contact dermatitis, blistering disorder). See your derm when a blister is present and a biopsy can be done if necessary to determine what's going on. Doesn't sound like shingles but it isn't always on 1/2 of your body. Read more

I have been suffering with sciatica for about a week. Then I broke out with a rash which turned to blistering. I have had shingles before so I know w?

No: Most likely the shingles was acting up bringing on pain and then the rash/blisters showed up. Occasionally you can have both shingles and sciatica at the same time, but that is highly unlikely. If you are worried see your PCP and maybe get referred to a spine specialist. Read more

Can a shingles rash start flat and itchy before blisters develop? I had ch px as a child. Just developed a rash on the right side of my chest

Shingles: It is possible to have the rash change over time, but a more common presentation is for there to be pain in the area where the future rash will develop. This pain, rather than itching, leads into the full blown condition. Read more

I have shingles. Caught it early on now on valtrex (valacyclovir). Possible to have rash but no blisters ever form? Had rash for 3 days now.

Unlikely: YOu say that you have shingles but no rash. Why are you then on the valtrex (valacyclovir). It would be started for shingles. Now if you have known recurrence of shingles that might make sense. It is however unlikely to have shingles and no rash with blisters. Read more

Just diagnosed with shingles, started on valtrex (valacyclovir). Will I continue to get more of a rash or will it stop it from new forming blisters/rash?

Shingles: Valtrex (valacyclovir) will shorten the course of shingles if started within the first 24-48 hours of the disease. You may get more of the rash initially but will get less than if you were not treated. Good luck Read more
