After 5 days of suspected shingles symptoms without a rash and pain under shoulder blade around to breast area. What else could it be?
Shingle v. skeletal: Even in the absence of a rash, if you have had shingles in the past, you can still have "herpetic neuralgia, " which is simply nerve pain due to the inflammation of the nerves. Alternatively, this type of pain could occur due to "costochondritis, " which is essentially a pulled muscle between your rib spaces. Could have happened during exercise, sudden twist or even because of wire from a tight bra. ...Read more
I have soreness sensativte and bone soreness under breast it also feels weird to touch my skin and it.S not shingles.?
Possibly: Shingles is a recurrence of the chicken pox virus on one particular nerve where it has managed to hide. When it activates, it will follow the course or length of that nerve - where you are describing it, front to back along an almost straight line on one side of body only, right or left. Kinda feels like that prior to skin lesions showing up. Check with your doc. ...Read more

12 days ago, i started having left-sided back, side and chest (bottom of breast to bottom of rib cage) paresthesia. Pa-c ruled out shingles. What could it be?
Go up the ranks: See a doctor to find out if you have a problem at the level of the upper thoracic or cervical spine. Imaging (e.g. Mri) may be indicated. Do not be satisfied with a pa's assessment. Seek advice from a higher echelon, as it were. Symptoms are treatable. Cause may not be benign. There's no substitute for seeing an md/do face to face and getting a thorough exam and thoughtful evaluation. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Rash under right armpit, right shoulder and breast...Diagnosed as shingles but now have rash on left side in groin area? Can that still be shingles?
No absolutely not: Rash of shingles is raised and fluid filled. Most important it is extremely painful. You didn't mention pain so i assume that's not a factor. I know this is not shingles because it almost never appears in two dermatomes simultaneously due to the rapid immune response which contains the infection. Go see your dermalogist or fp. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Diagnosed with shingles 5 days ago; have lymphedema on 1 arm from removal of 30 breast cancer involved lymph nodes - what if shingles spreads to arm?
Secondary infection: Good news is that shingles always follows set patterns. The outbreaks follow the course of a sensory nerve. So, if the outbreak isn't now near the arm, it is very unlikely that it will go there. You can search online for shingles dermatomes to see the patterns. If it does make it to your arm, secondary infection is your biggest concern. Be careful the blisters do not pop and become infected. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Can I get plastic surgery if I have Herpes Zoster in the eye? I want to have my nose and breasts done in the future , will it be possible?
Zoster or simplex?: Do you mean herpes zoster (shingles) or herpes simplex? Zoster is unlikely to be a problem. Operations on the face and eyes can trigger reactivation of HSV1 in people with oral or facial herpes, usually (but not only) in people with known oral herpes (cold sores, etc). But this can be prevented with anti-herpes treatment if necessary. Breast surgery no problem. Discuss with your plastic surgeon. ...Read more
3 month ago I had shingle on the right side under my breast .Since one month have burning, pinching pain on my leg above knee also on right side?
Unlikely: It's unlikely without the rash that the symptoms you are having in the leg are zoster(the virus that causes shingles), though not impossible. More likely you could have some compromise of one of the lower nerves of the spine, in the so called lumbrosacral region(like a pinched nerve) that is causing these symptoms. If they persists, get worse or have weakness you should seek urgent help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
