Shaving Cream Brands
Sunblock moisturizer: Many people use over-the-counter moisturizers that contain sunscreen. Avoiding exposure to the sun will let skin lighten up. However, one should take extra vitamin d to make up for not getting vitamin d from the sun. Although having tanned skin from sun exposure is not a medical illness, there are a few uncommon hormonal medical conditions that can cause skin darkening.
What cream should I use to lighten up the color of my skin is there any brand you would recommend?
Hydroquinone: Hydroquinone is the active ingredient in most creams that are effective in lightening skin. There are numerous otc products, but most are of limited efficacy. Prescription hydroquinone creams work better. The highest safe strength is 4% - above that, paradoxical skin *darkening* has been reported. Insurance won't cover lightening creams because they are not considered "medically necessary.".
Preparation h: Works will with current hemorrhoids. If they persist, you should see a general surgeon for further treatment options.
Just had a completion thyroidectomy 9 days ago. Wht is the best cream/brand to use on my fresh scar? Pls help me! Its very fresh obvs!
Usually nothing: Post surgical scars and trauma scars can usually do well on there own. There are many products that claim to help, but there is little proof. That being said, many feel they can help. Go to the first aid aisle at any pharmacy. Always remember to not get too much sun exposure on the incision for that first year after surgery (sunscreen). Hypertrophic scars can be treated too.See 1 more doctor answer

Why doesn't any cream or lotion work 4 my very dry hands? I've even tried "good" brands like CeraVe? After using it my hands still don't feel moist.
Eczema?: It's possible you're dealing with eczema, which causes one to have extremely dry patches of skin that can become irritated and itchy and are often resistant to most over the counter lotions and creams. Have you tried Vaseline? You may need prescription medications like DermaSmoothe or courses of a topical corticosteroid in cream or ointment form. Talk to your doc.See 1 more doctor answer
Do the probable bad effects of sun protection creams remain permanently on skin? Please introduce some brands of sun protection creams for blonde skin
No sun cream worse: If you cannot avoid sun between 10:00 am and 4:00pm, always use sun protection. They do not cause problems to your skin. For fair skin like you, use higher protection factors like 50. If you have oily skin look for brands that have a less oily base. If you have sensitive skin, uses brands used for children, they usually are very gentle. In the US, neutrogena is a good brand.

What brands of over-the-counter creams are most helpful, or most recommended by doctors, for dry skin eczema?
Ceramide creams: The molecular defect in eczema skin is in the proper generation of barriers. Ceramides are found to be deficient in eczema skin. In addition to topical steroids, I generally recommend applying a ceramide containing cream (cerave or cetaphil restoraderm) first, and then 'seal' it on top with a more moisturizing lotion such as eucerin original lotion, or aquaphor if you are very dry.See 1 more doctor answer
