Popping hip: Arthritis, tight ligaments, muscle spasms, piriformis syndrome - most common. Or sciatica. Sciatica usually runs pain down the back of the leg. The inner thigh usually a nerve - obturator nerve - gets pinched and radiates symptoms down the inside of the thigh. Go see an orthopedic surgeon.

Sciatica?: In my experience, "SI joint" and "Piriformis" syndromes are commonly over-diagnosed by mistake. Instead, I do see a lot of cases of sciatica from degenerate discs and pinched nerves in the lumbar spine. From your description, I wonder if you might have a pinched L5 nerve in your lumbar spine. See details: It is likely an acute lumbosacral strain. Forget the chiropractor. A 16 year old needs a detailed evaluation to determine the cause of recurrent back pain. See a rheumatologist or orthopedist.

Need exam...: This is obviously difficult to answer w/o an examination. Gastroc muscle strain from 2 yrs ago should be healed by now unless u keep re- injuring it and could be missed possibly on MRI. Fibular stress fx., peroneal nerve injury and other less common diagnoses are in differential dx. See a board certified ors in your area for examination and/or get another opinion. Good luck!

Sharp shooting, stabbing pain left leg when walking, arching back, straightening leg. Also numb in area. What can cause, why suddenly without injury?

Spinal problem.: With all that put together, my first thought would be an issue with your spine, perhaps a disc herniation or spinal stenosis. You may benefit from an X-ray of the lumbar spine with flexion and extension views along with an MRI of the spine to begin the investigation.

Deep stabbing pain in back of upper left thigh. Should I be worried about dvt?

Deep stabbing pain in back of upper left thigh. Should I be worried about dvt?

Maybe: It's not out of the question, but wouldn't say it's typical. If it were behind the knee, i'd be more suspicious but by the time the veins get up to your thigh, they are on the inside of the leg, not the back. Nevertheless, I would ask your doctor and consider getting an ultrasound.

Could robax platinum help treat a sharp, stabbing pain in my thigh?

Could robax platinum help treat a sharp, stabbing pain in my thigh?

Possibly: Robax platinum is a combination medication including a muscle relaxant-methocarbamol and an anti-inflammatory-ibuprofen. If you have stomach ulcers and gastritis or high blood pressure problems those would be reasons not to use this.

Is this sciatica, stabbing pain in a small part of inside thigh, then later get it in back of calf then back of thigh then side of thigh lasts 10 mins?

Is this sciatica, stabbing pain in a small part of inside thigh, then later get it in back of calf then back of thigh then side of thigh lasts 10 mins?

Sciatica: What you describe could be coming from a bulging disk in your spine which releases chemicals that may irritate nerves that go down your leg. Often times we call this radiculopathy or sciatica. You need a medical evaluation for proper treatment so see your doctor. Good luck. You are young so it's best to seek medical attention early and look for ways to prevent the worsening of this condition.

What could be the cause of a pain w/numbness in the left pelvic (back to front pubic) area w/ stabbing pain where torso meets thigh?

What could be the cause of a pain w/numbness in the left pelvic (back to front pubic) area w/ stabbing pain where torso meets thigh?

Back lesion as cause: With a pinched nerve supplying that area of the body, due to arthritis, slip disk, injury or space occupying lesions in the spine. Another common problem is meralgia paraesthetica, where a nerve to the front & side of the thigh gets trapped under a tight ligament against the iliac bone (pelvis). The symptoms you mentioned are most likely due to it. See your orthopod for proper DX and treatment.

Right leg (on rare occasions) sharp stabbing pain initiating to the rear of thigh radiating or transmitting to the foot.

Right leg (on rare occasions) sharp stabbing pain initiating to the rear of thigh radiating or transmitting to the foot.

Sciatica: Sounds like this could be a sign of sciatica. Sciatica refers to pain that radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve which branches from your lower back through your hips and buttocks and down each leg. Typically, sciatica affects only one side of your body. This could be a sign you have a herniated disk or spinal anomalies which may require physical therapy and a spine physician eval.

Meralgia paresthetic: You likely have entrapment of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve at the hip, which causes a peculiar painful numbness. Often can be relieved by avoiding tight clothing or belts, and maybe helped with weight loss if one is overweight. Can be an early sign of diabetic neuropathy, but most cases self-limited and benign, .

Lumbar radiculopathy: Is a possible diagnosis, and needs to be confirmed by a physical examination and imaging. See your doctor for an evaluation. A nerve might be compressed due to degenerative changes of the spine.
