I am 37 weeks pregnant, started losing my mucus plug a week and a half ago. Sharp pains in my cervix. Diarrea started today. How long til labour?

Unpredictable: There is no way to predict exactly how long it will be until labor, although all of these signs you mention suggest it may not be long. Call your doctor if you are contracting every 5 minutes, you think that you have started leaking amniotic fluid, or if you have vaginal bleeding. Also call if you have decreased fetal movement. Good luck! ...Read more

35 weeks pg. Getting sharp pains through my cervix and shooting to the top of my stomach. Is this a contraction or dilation or body getting ready?

Time 2 get an answer: If third trimester and using these words sharp shooting pains along with cervix, it's time to be examined for both dilatation and labor. If there is neither then the cause might be something like bladder infection or other condition that needs evaluation and treatment. I would advise my high-risk patients to report such symptoms to an OB and/or go to labor and delivery. Pregnncy is preterm still. ...Read more

I'm having sharp pains in my uterus and cervix area after having sex with my boyfriend a lot.. Did he bruise something or mess something up?

Possible: Rough sex can injure the genitals and result in pain. Take tylenol and if the pain is not resolved in a couple of days, see your doctor. Using lubricant like k-y jelly during sex may help.
