Probably muscular: Probably muscular, can ask for a referral to physical therapy for a few weeks. Also need to consder that is might come from the neck. Yawning causes you to tilt you head back, and the cervical extension might exacerbate facetogenic pain referring to the mid back. Recommend seeing a physician for further evaluation. ...Read more

I started having a sharp pain on my back side, of my left, it feels like it's under my ribs and it is very painful. What could it be ?

Well, there is the: Kidey back there, gotta consider a stone but doesn't sound like it. Does it increase with breathing? If so, likely musculoskeletal.
