I woke up this morning with a sharp pain below my left shoulder blade. It also hurts when i breath in and gets worse when i move around.
Likely- muscle cramp: With no history of trauma or injury, the most likely cause of pain in the area described is a muscle injury. The intercostal, latissmus, and serratus anterior and rhomboid periscapular muscles could be some og the actual muscles involved. Ribs or Lung?: Pain when you take a deep breath seems to indicate that when your rib cage expands this is painful...This points towards a problem in the rib cage or pulmonary system although the possibilities can be many.
