Diarrhea episodes the day before , sharp lower quadrant abdominal pain bilaterally relieved by passing gas. What could it be? 28 year male with no pmh

Usu diet/minor virus: If you are fine now, a brief episode of diarrhea in a healthy person may be due to something in your diet or to a minor viral infection.

If you continue to have symptoms, make an appointment with your physician. Pay attention to see if there are any foods that seem to regularly give you diarrhea such as, for example, dairy products.

Bad diarrhea, vomiting and sharp abdominal pain for 3 days. Unable to eat or drink. How can I stay hydrated?

I would go to ER: If someone has diarrhea or vomiting from food poisoning or a virus, drinking Gatorade, pedialite or other electrolyte fortified water is a good way to try to stay hydrated. From your description with sharp abdominal pain X 3 days you could even have perforated appendicitis or ulcer. It is best to go to urgent care or ER for evaluation. They can give you IV fluid since you can't keep anything down. ...Read more

I've been having abdominal pain, sometimes severe. Follows eating. Occurs with diarrhea (often) or constipation from imodium (loperamide). Dr. Not sure it's lupus ?

Not lupus: This sounds more like reflux (gerd), ulcer, or gastritis. An allergic reaction to certain foods or a toxic reaction to certain food proteins (food protein enteropathy) is yet another possibility. These symptoms are not typical for lupus. See a gastroenterologist and/or allergist to sort it out. ...Read more

Sharp lower right abdominal pain lasting 48 hours getting sharper. Nauseous. Diarrhea and loss of appetite Can't move What should I do? Hurts to pee

Need doctor to check: Lower right abdominal pain can be from many things. Appendicitis is always a concern (pain usually worsens over time, with fever coming on). If one is constipated for several days, stool can back up all the way to the right side, and cause pain. A hernia, a twist in the bowel or an ovary problem can cause pain.
