Sharp Pain In Second Toe
Very sharp pain on top of my second toe when I move it a certain way, the pain is unbearable. Didn't stub it, what could be the cause? A nerve?
Hammertoe: Early on the hammer toes are quite sensitive and their joints are softening and their flexibility decreasing so most often cause was simply be shoe pressure on the tires
I kicked my heavy bag during training, toes landed first, now I have a sharp pain above my big and second toes just before the ankle, what happened?
Alive and Kicking...: Kicking somewhat immovable structures with your toes leading, can potentially many structures from the area of impact, to your ankle. The damage could include both bone and soft tissue. An exam and systems review is necessary to identify the tissues potentially injured.
I have a sharp pain in the tip of my second toe when pressure is applied to it. I don't have pain anywhere else in my feet.
Consult podiatrist: The second toe is often the 'lead dog' in your walking foot, and thus takes more potentially damaging pressure. There are many physiological causes of pain...abnormal nerve pressure, joint lining inflammation, etc. Try padding, or a change of shoes, or off the shelf orthotic supports, and consult a podiatrist if the problem continues.
I have pain in the base and a sharp pain at the tip of the second toe. The pain has moved to the base of the third and fourth toe. I did not have any injury. It feels like its swollen, but is not. It feels like a wrinkle. What should I do?
Possible neuroma: The symptoms you describe are consistent with a neuroma, which is a benign nerve tumor affecting the nerves going to the toes. The pain is worse while walking barefoot on a hard surface or when enclosed in shoes. Steroid injections and/or surgery are the treatments available.See 2 more doctor answers

Hello there nice to see you once again I've been having this very very sharp pain under my right big toe that comes On and off threw out the day its?

Check it out with yo: Your feet need to be examined and xrays need to be taken to determine what is going on with your feet.
Most Likely Nerves: There are a number of causes or "etiologies" for distributed pain. Most are related to neurologic dysfunction or nerve problems. This could be centered in either your brain, spinal chord or (less likely) peripheral nerves. You may want to visit with a neurologist about this. Most likley he/she will order tests, which can discern the cause of your pain.See 1 more doctor answer
What does it mean if my big toes are pussing on the side and has a sharp pain in the front. Like it feels like something is stabbing me.
Every time I bend down to touch my toes or I'm getting up from sitting down on the couch or the chair I have a sharp pain in my lower back.
Herniated disc: While your symptoms are suggestive of herniated disc, you are a little young for such a degenerative process. It may just be a lower back muscle spasm due to excessive use. In either case, try Ibuprofen 400 mgs (2 ADVIL (ibuprofen) tabs) 2-3 times daily for a wk and a heating pad to local areafew times daily. If no improvement, see your doctor for a definitive assassment. Feel better soon:)
On the outside of my big toes are numd and sometimes have sharp pain in the edge of the toenail. What dose it mean?
How tight are your: Shoes? Do your shoes fit tightly at the toe? Encourage you to see a podiatrist for most extensive evaluation. Take care.See 1 more doctor answer
Frequent intense sharp pain in the fingers or toes and the back of the head which lasts from a few seconds to a minute. Should I worry?
See a DO doctor: Best to see an osteopathic physician to evaluate your structure/spine/neck. There are nerve root connections in the neck that can affect the fingers, as well as connections from the low back that affect the toes. That can easily be addressed. However, if you need a referral to a neurologist from your physician, for further evaluation, that is always an option too, as everything is connected.
I had surgery on my iquilius tendant 5 yrs ago and im starting to have sharp pain when my toes lift up from walking what's wrong somethin pinched?
Re evaluate: Have your surgeon recheck your repair. It has been 5 years and it is possible something may have changed. Be seen. All the best.
2nd toe One foot Sudden sharp pain Lasts a few seconds No signs before or after Can move & touch it w/ no pain Occurs randomly Becoming more frequent?
Varies: There are a number of possibilities and an exam could usually give a good idea about the cause. On possibility is a Morton's neuroma which can form between the toes and cause a shooting pain into the toe, there are any other possibilities as well. Don't hesitate to be seen.
